"This is a much welcome recording - musical documentation of traditional solo piano music is in short supply. The music on this compact disc includes material from old manuscrips and tunes learned from musicians Peadar O Loughlin, Micho Russell and others. The recording was made in Geraldine's home in Gortmore, Ennis, Co. Clare, by Steve Cooney - an accomplished musician and producer - who also accomanies her on guitar. Other guests on the album are Maeve Donnelly, Eamon Cotter, Peadar O Loughlin, Adele O Dwyer, Benny O Connor, Micheál Ó Siochrú, and Geraldine's husband John Boyd.
Thank you Geraldine for asking me to write these lines. I could go at length about your accomplishments. However, I prefer to listen to this wonderfully produced record containing of what is best in Irish Music. Thanks Geraldine for bringing your music to us, to our homes, our cars and to all up and coming musicians.... Now we can listen and enjoy forever!"
